Has anyone here needed second bypass surgery?

Has anyone here needed second bypass surgery? Curious
I had my first bypass in Dec and doing ok but just wondered if anyone here has had to have a second bypass. Sure hope not. My surgeon said if ever it is needed, not to worry, they can easily do second one and maybe by then we will just need a pill. I've also been reading where they can grow new arteries in the heart. Right now it is very limited and still have to cut the sternum but expect in a couple years to just go in like cardio catherization and inject it in the heart. I am 67.

There is this woman in the rehab class after mine that is on her 2nd bypass surgery. Her first one lasted 10 yrs.

While my husband was in having his surgery, there was a family who's dad was having his 4th. He had never given up smoking. Most people who need repeats keep smoking we were told by our doctor. Some eat so horribly and won't exercise, so that can cause it, but much less so than smoking. There was a woman on the ward who was having hers re-done for a rare condition where her grafts collapsed. They re-did them and stented them. That happened very shortly after she went home. So stay away from smoke (even second hand as much as possible), eat well and exercise, and the odds are really on your side. Oh, and if you have or get sleep apnea, deal with it aggressively. My hubby went from a good stress tests to a lousy one in a decade after he developed sleep apnea and ignored it for a long time.
